The D4I TDR team will be piloting a curriculum on Indigenous-centered data solutions through an outreach and training workshop in the summer 2025 with IndigiData, an Indigenous data science education workshop aimed at introducing data science and informatics skills. This program is open to Indigenous students at the undergraduate, graduate, and post doctorate levels as well as Indigenous and Tribal community members and professionals interested in data science. IndigiData summer 2025 session will be held in Arizona on the lands of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, south of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and will revolve around Indigenous Health and Artificial Intelligence.
The Indigenous scientists of the D4I team will contribute to the broader collective contributions of over a dozen Indigenous perspectives from colleagues and communities. An overview of the curriculum can be found below:
